Privacy policy
In short: we keep only what is needed to show you your numbers. We never sell it, we run no ads or trackers, and you can have it deleted at any time.

What we collect
- Your account: your email address and password. The password is stored scrambled, so nobody can read it, not even us. We email you a one-time code to confirm your address and to reset a password, sent through our email provider, Resend. If you give your mobile number when you sign up (it is optional), we use it only to contact you about your OrderLens account; we never share it.
- Files you upload: the payment and order reports you download from your seller panels, and the figures worked out from them.
- What you type in: product costs, packaging, vendors, store names and settings.
- Basic technical logs: like IP address and browser type, which our hosting keeps for a short time for security.
OrderLens works with your business figures: orders, payouts, fees and returns. It does not need your customers’ names, phone numbers or addresses, and never uses them for anything. (Meesho’s reports, for example, contain none; the closest they come is the customer’s state.)
What we never ask for
Your marketplace login, OTP, bank account details, card details or Aadhaar. If anyone asks for these in our name, it is not us.
Why we use it
Only to show you your own statements, profit and payouts, and to answer you when you write to us. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent or trade it to anyone.
The OrderLens for Sellers browser extension
OrderLens for Sellers is our extension for Chrome. Today it does one job: it gets the order and payment reports from your seller panel and hands them to your OrderLens account.
- When it works: only when you click it. On other websites it only tells you to open your seller panel. If you turn on “show the button every time”, it adds a small OrderLens button to your seller panel, which does nothing until you click it. Nothing runs in the background or on a schedule.
- What it reads: which store is open (its name and number) and the order and payment report files you ask for. It does not open those files; it passes them on as they are. It reads one technical cookie from your seller panel only to send it back to the panel with your report requests, as the panel itself does; it does not read your login. It does not read the orders or customer details shown on the page, or your browsing history.
- What it does on your panel: the same as pressing the panel’s own Download buttons. It asks the panel to prepare your reports and downloads them. It changes nothing else: no orders, prices, stock, bank details or profile.
- Where the files go: to the OrderLens page you are signed in to, which adds them to your own account with your own login. The extension never sends anything to our servers by itself, and never holds your OrderLens password or login. If you tick “save a copy”, a copy also goes to your Downloads folder.
- What it keeps in your browser: the day each store last synced (for the one-sync-a-day limit) and your “save a copy” choice, until you remove the extension. Two small working values are cleared when you close the browser.
- What it never does: ask for your marketplace password or OTP, run ads, trackers or analytics, load code from the internet, or sell your data.
The extension’s use of the information it receives follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where it is kept
On secure cloud servers run by our hosting and database providers, who store it on our behalf and may not use it for anything else. It travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and is encrypted where it is stored. Each business’s data is kept separate inside the database, so one account can never read another’s.
Who can see it
Only you. We look at an account’s data only to help you when you ask, or to find and fix a problem with the service. We will share data with authorities only if Indian law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
There are no advertising or analytics trackers on OrderLens. Your browser keeps things like your sign-in session, so you stay logged in, and display choices such as light or dark theme and how many rows a table shows. These stay on your own device.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. We keep a private copy of each uploaded file so your numbers can be rebuilt if a calculation is ever corrected. Clearing a store’s data in the app deletes that store’s files.
Your choices
- See and correct your data at any time inside the app.
- Clear any store’s data yourself from the Upload page (“Clear this account”).
- Ask us to delete your whole account by writing to support@orderlens.shop from your sign-in address. We delete everything and confirm by email.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and email you before it takes effect.
