Easy Ship. Amazon does not publish its return and RTO charges: change those two boxes under More details if yours differ. Returns, RTO, packing and ads on orders that do not stay are shared over the ones that do. Fees include 18% GST, which comes back in the GST line. Your bank gets about 0.6% less for a while (TCS and TDS, returned when you file).
How Amazon charges sellers
From Amazon's published fee table, checked 13 Oct 2026.
- Referral fee: 0% for items up to ₹1,000 (since 16 Mar 2026). Above ₹1,000, the category's rate on the whole price, for example 16.5% for ethnic wear and 23% for men's T-shirts.
- Closing fee (Easy Ship): ₹2 up to ₹300, ₹23 from ₹301 to ₹500, ₹48 to ₹1,000 and ₹79 above.
- Shipping (Easy Ship weight handling): one rate across India, ₹55 for the first 500 g, ₹75 to 1 kg, ₹112 to 2 kg, then ₹34 per kg. ₹10 less on items under ₹300.
- GST: 18% is added to every fee and comes back to you as input credit.
- Returns and RTO: Amazon does not publish these charges. The calculator uses an estimate you can change.
- TCS 0.5% and TDS 0.1% are held from each payment and come back when you file GST and income tax.
- Payment: held 10 days for new (Basic) sellers, 7 days for Standard and Advanced, 3 days for Premium.

You keep ₹397.24 before your own cost and packing. Over 500 g, shipping becomes ₹75 and you keep about ₹377.
How the calculator works it out
It follows 100 orders. Some never reach the buyer (RTO), some reach the buyer and come back (customer returns), and the rest stay delivered. What the returns, RTOs, packing and ads cost on the orders that did not stay is shared over the ones that did, so the answer is the real profit on each order you keep.

Questions sellers ask
Does Amazon charge a referral fee on cheap items?
Not up to ₹1,000. Since 16 March 2026 Amazon charges 0% referral fee on items priced up to ₹1,000 in most categories, including clothing, shoes, jewellery, beauty, toys and home.
What is the Amazon closing fee?
A fixed fee per order by price band. On Easy Ship it is ₹2 up to ₹300, ₹23 from ₹301 to ₹500, ₹48 up to ₹1,000 and ₹79 above, plus 18% GST that you get back.
How much is Amazon Easy Ship shipping?
